thanks for all us who arent networking wizs many older people who didnt have the blessing of internet in their basic teachings in school can really understand how ths works as many many people are now starting our own business
Very good explanation but, however, connections are not so useful if geolocation misses. This will be the next wave for social. Check teyton project and its video: you can draw a rectangle on the map and find people and friends where they live. More useful (think about applications in your neighbourhood too).

The problem with social networking sites is that people can see what little friends most people really have and people try to cover that up by soliciting strangers as friends.
nooooooo not another Ad for facebook..on the contrary, social network also limits your opportunity of getting to the end goal, because the connection of people between and your end goal could all come your potential competitors, unless you accept this and become public, the most social thing one can do is make a public profile

A good explanation of Social Networking but I think we should use existing social network like Ezdia. As here you not only do social networking but can build and grow your own network professionally, can do freelancing and lot more. Thus providing the features of all other sites like twitter , elance , linkedin etc at one place. And make your task easier as compare with going to various sites for a single purpose.

There should be another video called, behind the social networks. I am part of several, but everyone should now who is really profiting of this, and the dangers that we are exposed to when we enter them.
