Seeing as Gen Y is not universally defined, and usually much more narrowly defined, I have trouble believing this. And it is almost certainly not true in the developed world. It might be true if you include 3rd world populations for 2 reasons - their baby boomers are dying off earlier than in the developed world, and higher birthrates almost guarantee higher populations in future generations.
